Position: Installer

Lead Installer - TriMark Foodcraft – Winston Salem, NC
Reports to:  Installation Manager
 
Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring successful installation of a full range of commercial kitchen equipment in restaurants and institutional settings.  Works effectively with General Contractor, Project Manager, Executive Management and other support departments.  Serves as a key link between Project Manager and jobsite personnel.
 
 
Essential Functions & Responsibilities Include:
  • Take direction from Installation Manager and/or Project Managers; communicate on job progress and bring any concerns to the Installation Manager and/or Project Manager
  • Ability to load and unload equipment and tools properly for delivery and work in the field
  • Setting commercial kitchen equipment in place for connection to be made by contractor
  • Hanging exhaust hoods, installing curbs and fans
  • Assembly of walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Hanging/securing of shelving, racking, and other wall or ceiling products (i.e. pot racks, chemical racks, etc.)
  • Assembly and installation of large deck-style ovens and roll-in refrigeration units
  • Ability to trouble shoot employee, customer, and vendor concerns.
  • Ensure employees follow all safety regulations on jobsites, while driving, and in the TriMark Foodcraft warehouse
  • Attend required safety and product training
  • Take proper care of all company issued tools and equipment
  • Daily truck inspections and cleaning
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Ensure all work documentation is fully and accurately completed – using mobile electronic devices to record job progress, log hours to correct job, taking pictures of job sites and/or progress
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • 5 or more years’ commercial food service equipment installation experience preferred
  • 2 or more years’ construction site foreman and/or equivalent construction industry experience a plus
  • Proficiency reading blueprints
  • TIG welding; clean and polish welds on stainless steel
  • Proficiency with use of all related equipment and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail.  Ability to multi-task and stay focused on critical objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Good client management and goodwill building ability
  • Clean driving record required
  • Ability to drive forklift
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift, push, pull and carry in excess of 60 lbs
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with mobile technology including smart phones/tablets
Education:
  • High School diploma or GED.
