New Construction at the University Club of Chicago: The Parliament

The University Club of Chicago opened the doors to its newest expansion, The Parliament. The drive behind this project was the desire to offer year-round upscale casual dining. The Parliament consists of multiple venues that are unique to the other dining destinations at the club in décor, food & beverages and atmosphere.

The stunning construction consisted of renovation of the 7th floor and the addition of an 8th. With a magnificent stairway leading to an open 14 ft. high ceiling, the production took over a year to finish but has been absolutely worth the wait.

The integrity and gothic style of the existing structure was not ignored by architect Antunovich Associates and partner Looney and Associates, who focused on the interior.

The Parliament features a 1,500 sq. ft. infinity rooftop deck, multiple lounges, bars, private dining areas, an interior courtyard and an outdoor terrace with a view of Millennium Park. This establishment promotes a sense of community inclusiveness and diversity and has a more casual feel with a dress code allowing jeans.

The University Club of Chicago has a trusted relationship with TriMark that has lasted over three decades. Executive Chef Mark Baker partnered with TriMark Marlinn to assemble beautifully styled tabletop pieces to complement his innovative dishes and deliver the essential smallwares needed to operate a complex space such as this one.
