Twenty-Two TriMark SS Kemp Employees Earn CFSP Certification

A total of 22 TriMark SS Kemp employees have earned the Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP) certification. The CFSP certificate demonstrates expertise and dedication to the foodservice industry.

“The Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP) credential is the most important industry certification for foodservice professionals. This certification signifies that these individuals have gained a high level of experience, knowledge and qualifications in the industry,” said Keri Llewellyn, Vice President of TriMark SS Kemp.

To prepare for the test, students participate in study groups for six months, gaining extensive knowledge about the foodservice industry. Students who pass the test earn their CFSP certification. “These people are very committed to advancing their careers and serving our customers in the best way possible,” said Llewellyn.

The objectives of the program are to raise the professional standards and quality of the foodservice industry; encourage continuing educational development among foodservice professionals; foster guidelines for achievement in the foodservice industry; and award special recognition to those foodservice professionals who have demonstrated high levels of competence and ethics.

Tom Wienclaw, President of TriMark SS Kemp said, “TriMark SS Kemp is committed to providing professional certification training and educational programs for employees, like the Certified Foodservice Professional certification (CFSP). This certification helps them become a better resource for our customers.”

Offered by the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM), the CFSP certification training program covers many facets of the foodservice industry including foodservice design; food safety; types, sizes and applications of cooking equipment; utilities, ventilation, dish room operations, and more.
