Position: Warehouse Worker I

Position Summary/Objective
Warehouse generalist which ranges from general labor duties like Shipping and Receiving with handheld and desktop computers. 
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Assist with Check In’s, and receiving inbound inventory into warehouse locations.
  • Assist with Picking, Packing, and Shipping customer orders
  • Ensures inventory accuracy through cycle counting
  • Communicate with other departments and vendors as needed to complete tasks and meet customer demands.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment in a safe manner to accomplish company goals.
  • Communicate issues and opportunities to facility management.
  • Utilize RF and computer equipment to ensure all activities are in the warehouse system.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and inventory accuracy.
  • May back-up or assist Warehouse Clerk
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Minimum:
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Able to write simple correspondence.
  • Able to repetitively lift 20 lbs. throughout the day and occasionally up to 70 lbs.
  • Able and certified to operate an electric pallet jack.
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with or without the use of a calculator.
  • Self-starter that takes the initiative to start and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Able to effectively use Microsoft Outlook to communicate and Excel to analyze and report on data.
  • Some overtime required
Preferred:
  • Able to effectively use MS Office; Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Able to operate and previously certified on Reach truck, electric pallet jack and stock picker.
  • Able to effectively operate a handheld terminal-(RF scanning gun).
 
Education & Experience
Minimum:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
  • 1-year relevant warehouse experience.

Activities (if more than 2 hours per day)
Standing, Walking, Stooping, Bending and Typing – picking, pinching or otherwise working with fingers.
Lifting to include:  25-60 lbs.; Pulling, Pushing and Carrying
Environment:  Cold, Heat, Noise and Dust
Sensory:  Reading up close to up to 30 feet away
Safety or Other:
  • Able to be certified or re-certified by TriMark RW Smith to operate forklift equipment.
  • Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment, random and post-accident drug test (at all times.)
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check
  • Must be a legal citizen or otherwise permitted to legally work in the US
