Your Position

As a Purchasing Coordinator for TriMark R.W. Smith, you will be responsible for ensuring we fulfill each promise to our customer.  While everyday will bring new challenges, a normal day will be filled with managing direct ship orders from our supplier partners to our customers, managing inventory in multiple warehouses across the U.S., building strong and supportive relationships with our suppliers and with our street and internal sales teams, and problem solving to find creative solutions for our customers.  There are also opportunities to work both independently and collaboratively on projects, and on process/technology improvements that drive efficiency within the department and for our company.  For a full job description, select Apply Now.

What Education & Experience Do You Need?

  • Minimum:

    • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school plus two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.

    • Two (2) years purchasing-related experience.

About the Company:  

TriMark R.W. Smith was established in San Diego in 1935 as a wholesale food service equipment and supply distributor serving San Diego County.  Currently, we have two distinct business lines including a full-service turnkey supplier of food service supplies and equipment and custom design/fabrication of controlled environment rooms.
