Position: Project Manager

Position Summary/Objective
Project Managers are responsible for representing TriMark Gill Group with handling project submittals, field coordination, installation and close-out.  This individual is involved on a daily basis with various tasks related to procurement, coordination and delivery of food service equipment for their projects.  The project manager will travel to the project sites for coordination and management of their projects.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the submittal package
  • Visit project jobsites as needed
  • Track RFI’s (look through contract documents to identify/generate RFI’s)
  • Track submittals (get submittals back in a timely manner to meet lead times)
  • Contract & specification knowledge (assist in the scope review)
  • Acquire field dimensions
  • Finalize and approve shop drawings
  • Coordinating with mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades in the field
  • Manage installation crews
  • Attend job site meetings for coordination, orientation, closeout, etc
  • Track equipment and installation schedules
  • Verify jobsite availability prior to scheduling deliveries
  • Coordinate installation (install packet with jobsite info, submittals, contracts, etc)
  • Manage project closeout
    • Executed change orders (try to get these prior to performing the work)
    • Operation & Maintenance Manuals (assist Project Coordinators as needed)
    • Attend training & demonstrations of equipment to owner
    • Complete punch-list of equipment
    • Obtain & coordinate distribution of keys/accessories for equipment
    • Warranties (to be included in O&M manuals)
  • Generate and track change orders as needed throughout the project
  • Review and mark-up purchase orders (verify utilities, sizes, clearances, etc.)

 Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience with electrical and/or plumbing is helpful
  • Experience with commercial kitchens is helpful
  • Experience working for a Commercial General Contractor is helpful
