Position: QA Lead

TriMark USA, LLC. is one of the country's largest providers of design services, equipment and supplies to the foodservice industry. The QA Lead will be required to establish the QA discipline within TriMark USA balancing the IT maturity and limited resources. The QA Lead will work collaboratively to build and establish the overall QA process. The IQA Lead works collaboratively with functional business areas, IT BAs and IT internal and external partners to achieve project objectives, milestones and deliverables while ensuring the implementation of high quality solutions that support organizational goals and objectives. This may include elicitation and documentation of business requirements, recommendations and participation in solution design, business process modeling, time/cost estimating, authoring of use case scenarios and test scripts, participation in all cycles of testing, training of business leads and super users, and deployment. Projects will include enhancements to existing applications and systems, as well as implementation of new applications. The QA Lead may also assist in general application support of production applications and systems, managing relationships with business owners, software vendors, auditors, and other internal IT teams. This position will have contact will all levels throughout TriMark USA’s divisions, as well as outside vendors and auditors. This includes but is not limited to project Steering Committees which include TriMark USA division presidents and vice presidents, various IT Directors including the Director of Support and Director of Infrastructure, the CIO, IT Application Managers, Business leads, outside vendors, internal and external auditors, developers and programmers.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Review business requirements and be responsible for ensuring the requirements are clear, concise, detailed, accurate, documented, testable, and traceable through the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in building out the QA discipline as well as educating the IT BA team on appropriate documentation, process and procedures.
  • Document, coordinate and participate in testing efforts in conjunction with other IT team members at all test levels (unit to integration to user acceptance).
  • Ability to develop comprehensive test scenarios that have traceability back to the business and/or technical requirements
  • Participate in the deployment of enhancements, upgrades and major implementations.
  • Participate in the definition of and validation efforts of conversion data for all conversions from legacy systems and applications to new applications and systems.
  • Work closely with the business leads to define and produce end user training documentation, online learning, and FAQs as required.
  • Communicate with business users in an effective manner via regular meetings, emails, and onsite visits to review functionality, status, decision points, recommendations, and increase utilization of application/system features.

  • Experience with SDLC, software development methodology lifecycle, including business planning, data analysis, process analysis and design, business and functional requirements analysis, use case analysis, applications/system design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in leading dynamic cross-competency teams using a structured project methodology.
  • Full understanding of Change Management and logical security principles.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under aggressive project timelines and strict budget requirements.
  • Preferred; Negotiation skills, conflict management, adaptability, high stress tolerance level, professional business etiquette.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems or Computer Science required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years solid proven business analysis experience including facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation sessions and the writing of business requirements. This includes the ability to understand business user requests, translate them into technical terms if needed, effectively organize and express technical facts to technical and non-technical users, both verbally and in writing.
  • Superior hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Visio)
  • 5+ years implementing a variety of software or infrastructure projects
  • Experienced with general business processes in areas such as finance, sales, supply chain
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required to accommodate special project deadlines.
