Position: Enterprise Data Architect (JD Edwards)

The Enterprise Data Architect will be responsible for providing assurance and integrity for the transactional data across the many applications that are part of TriMark business operations. This individual will be responsible for providing analysis and the design of solutions that streamline the flow of transactions through the various systems. The understanding of the data relationships and data dependencies to job functions performed on the applications is critical for this position. Effective partnership and teamwork with business partners, business analysts and business leads, as well as with other IT resources is a key success factor. The candidate must be creative and technologically bold. The right candidate will possess a mix of pragmatism, creativity, cross functional knowledge, communication skills and technical depth.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain effective trusted relationships and partnerships with key TriMark business stakeholders including executive leaders and managers in order to provide relevant insight and advice about opportunities to leverage current technology for business effectiveness and competitiveness
  • Ensure effective business analysis and requirements planning as well as effective consultation with business partners in exploring and applying innovative ideas to address business opportunities and challenges
  • Must have back end knowledge of the application portfolio from a transactional data perspective.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions on technology and business solutions
  • Analyze and identify areas of improvements in relations to transactional processing for key functional areas such as Inventory Management, Finance, Warehouse, Ecommerce and Order management.
  • Analyze and produce solution recommendations across functional areas that pertain to the transactional data integrity and transactional processing.
  • Collaborate on solutions in regards to the data architecture through close teamwork with solutions architects, application developers, business analysts, project team leads, and MDM.
  • Document all technical designs, processes and procedures, all testing plan(s) iterations, project plans.
  • Interact with IT vendors, external suppliers and other contractual partners

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven track record of providing IT/business solutions for enterprise systems
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into solutions that map to technology capabilities
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure thorough analysis for areas of improvement
  • Deep knowledge of JDE functional areas and the data relationships behind the scenes
  • Having functional and technical skills in JDE Enterprise One.
  • Analytical problem solving and fact finding skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify, clarify and resolve transactional data issues and risks as needed

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 15 + years of experience in full cycle implementation of JDedwards Enterprise One in the capacity of a functional or technical role.
  • 8+ years in designing and implementing solutions to JDedwards Enterprise One in regards to process improvements for areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, E-Commerce.
  • Experience with other third party systems such as Revenue Management, CRM, Quoting and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Experience working with business users and interpreting their requirements to develop a system solution that addresses concerns and issues.
  • Experience in managing projects using external and internal resources
  • Experience implementing project plans, test plans and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experiences working with development, infrastructure and functional teams
  • Prior vendor management experience preferred
