Position: Corporate BIM Manager

The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager will foster innovative thinking and collaboration as it relates to uses of technology and consistently explore the latest trends to help TriMark stay an industry leader in design and project management. The role will be responsible for managing the necessary technology, processes and procedures that will allow for the growth and standardization of BIM and related technologies throughout all TriMark divisions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

-Innovation & Leadership

  • Stays abreast of industry trends; introduces and drives technology and process innovation to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Show consistent presence in all TriMark divisions
  • Collaborate with TriMark division leaders to continue to build one uniform set of BIM processes and procedures, drawing standards and templates, and training documents
  • Work with Marketing to ensure our uses of technology are being advertised to customers. As position develops may be asked to utilize adopted technology into other areas of TriMark’s business to help grow sales. Maintains training materials. Train design managers and superusers throughout various TriMark divisions on current technology uses and software pertaining to design and project management including BIM Coordination practices during design and construction
  • Collaborates with other application leads around cross functional solutions and system integrations
  • Assist as required in fostering business growth with architectural firms and general contractors
  • Lead design standardization process meetings
  • Work with department leads to grow design and project management revenue and help to implement procedures that will allow for greater efficiencies throughout the organization

-Maintenance

  • Oversee growth and maintenance of Revit family library of foodservice equipment
  • Maintain Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and any other design and project management related software templates and; ensures products are properly licensed
  • Ensures that the BIM solution is documented and compliant with standards
  • Ensures that the applications are properly supported and that all Level 2 help desk tickets are resolved within defined SLAs
  • Works with the Help Desk to understand application support metrics and identifies project and enhancement opportunities to improve application stability and the user experience.
  • Works with product vendors and business stakeholders to apply upgrades and incorporate new functionality. Help to increase number of Revit users and employees capable of performing BIM Coordination

Essential

  • Extensive knowledge of BIM practices, standards and techniques
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, NavisWorks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office products, and Adobe
  • Foster positive relations and communications with across various TriMark division’s design/contract departments
  • Exceptional communications skills and ability to foster and lead collaboration sessions
  • Focus on execution and results that will drive top line growth
  • Ability to utilize various teaching methods to address different adult-learning styles to explain software and procedures to employees
  • Working knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Autodesk software certified
  • MS Office Certified

Education & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in BIM Management in a design or construction related field

Preferred

  • Foodservice or construction industry experience
