Position: Application Systems Engineer

The systems and security administrator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the security in TriMark’s Global Applications, like JDedwards EnterpriseOne, Oracle CX applications, DSI etc. This role will also work on other system administration duties such as maintaining the Batch Scheduler. This individual will work under the guidance and direction of the CNC and operations manager to ensure that the TriMark applications are properly functioning and operating efficiently.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Perform system administration in regards to security role creation and role assignments per TriMark guidelines and best practices for all Helix applications
  • Ensure that operations such as job scheduler and other application’s infrastructure are performing normally.
  • Setup and maintain Job scheduler for all TriMark divisions
  • Maintain exception and escalation process for batch job errors.
  • Defining and setting standards for application security across all Helix systems.
  • Assist in planning out infrastructure related system upgrades.
  • Provide CNC and system related troubleshooting for the development and functional teams.
  • Assist end users with system related issues such as performance or unexpected error messages.
  • Determine root cause analysis by analyzing system log files.
  • Managing job queues and printer setup in JDE
  • Interact with IT vendors, external suppliers and other contractual partners

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of JDE CNC architecture and functions.
  • Knowledge of applications security concepts and strategy.
  • Prior role as a JDE CNC administrator for a mid level company is desirable
  • Prior experience with third party JDE security applications such as All Out or Q-soft is a plus.
  • Troubleshooting skills in JDE CNC, zombie kernels and log files
  • Prior experience working with Cloud applications.
  • Analytical problem solving and fact finding skills
  • Knowledge of ESU and ASU deployment in JDE
  • Knowledge of UDO promotions
  • Knowledge of server manager
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify, clarify and resolve transactional data issues and risks as needed
  • Knowledge of SSO application like OAM
  • Knowledge of Cloud application administration like Oracle Sales Cloud, CPQ and Primavera

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5 + years of experience in implementing or managing application level security in JDE Enterprise One.
  • Knowledge of JDE CNC fundamentals and practices, like package build, deployment and environment management.
  • Experience with creating new JDE roles and implementing row security.
  • Experience with creating new roles in Oracle CX applications: CPQ, OSC, Primavera
  • Previous experience with SOX compliance standards in regards to security and user roles
  • Experience with system monitoring tools
  • Experiences working with development, infrastructure and functional teams
  • Prior vendor management experience preferred
