Position: Shop Technician - Lewisville

TriMark Strategic is a foodservice equipment supplier and installation expert for national chain restaurants and local foodservice operations. We are headquartered in Lewisville, TX with operating facilities nationwide. We are currently seeking a Shop Technician for our Lewisville, TX location.

Position Summary/Objective

The Shop Technician performs various tests, repairs, and maintenance activities under the leadership of the Service Manager. The position is also responsible for operating the forklift and assisting in the warehouse as needed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance as needed and assigned for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of the Company/customer refrigeration equipment
  • Repair various items, systems and components for the purpose of enduring that all items are available and in safe working conditions
  • Request supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items to complete the necessary installation/repair
  • Inform management regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action, and complying with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain proper inventory and cleanliness of shop area at all times
  • Conduct inspection of systems for the purpose of ensuring safety and identifying necessary repairs and providing ongoing preventative maintenance
  • Perform building maintenance and repair
  • Survey safety devices and equipment on a regular basis. Keep equipment, tools and shop/work areas in clean/safe conditions
  • Maintain and take periodic inventory of parts, materials, and components as directed
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
  • Comply with safety regulations
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Competencies, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Should be familiar with common refrigeration equipment (i.e. ice machines, refrigerators, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels at various locations
  • Excellent customer service skills

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in service or repair of kitchen equipment
  • EPA certifications of Level 1 & 2 minimum; universal preferred
  • Basic PC skills
