Position: Financial Analyst

Position Summary/Objective

Working across TriMark’s industry leading food equipment, distribution and restaurant design business, the Analyst will support profitable growth of TriMark’s Southern Region by conducting analyses of category and customer profitability and translating these analyses into actions for TriMark sales and project teams. Analyst will work with division resources to support the development of profitability data sets on an ongoing basis and will be responsible for sense checking and scrubbing data for accuracy.  Analyst will help develop the starting factbase for divisions, highlighting key trends or opportunities and developing hypotheses for how to improve profitability.  Analyst will support profitability initiatives with pricing analysis, financial analysis, distribution / project deep-dives and category management reviews.  Analyst will support the ongoing project management and tracking of actions identified through the work, including coordinating roll-out to new TriMark divisions, helping orient new division teams and rolling up activity logs and financial impact estimates.  Analyst may conduct ad-hoc analyses of TriMark performance across divisions within the Southern Region. 
 
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Manage data input and output using home-grown business profitability tools
  • Manage reporting relating to customer profitability and margin targets
  • Provide management reports and presentations to illustrate division, segment, customer, category, project and item profitability
  • Provide recommendations and hypotheses on actions to improve profitability based on these reports
  • Trainer and subject matter expert in the use of business profitability tools and processes for regional management, project and sales teams
  • Facilitate and manage ongoing account review process and action tracking – provide updates for overall profitability impacts
  • Support pricing ‘deal desk’ decisions by analyzing current pricing vs. benchmarks and assessing impact of potential changes
  • Understand data sources, applications and processes to ensure data integrity
  • Develop and maintain reports that support profitability analysis and tracking
  • Work with IT Liaisons to define data requirements for corporate-wide reporting systems
  • Perform ad hoc projects, analyses and data extractions as assigned
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel a must
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of corporate financial data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Alteryx a plus
  • Experience with PowerBI a plus
  • Presentations skills / experience a plus
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of related occupational experience
