Position: Corporate Communications Intern - Knoxville, TN

The Corporate Communications Intern is responsible for supporting the Organizational Development department in creating innovative design and content for various employee communications, vehicles and processes. In addition to departmental support, the intern may contribute to any special project(s) assigned to enhance the mission(s) of the department.  
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
 

  • Conceptualize, design and compose creative content for employee communications including publications, company emails, company vision board, ADP employee home page, employee campaigns and social media
  • Manage internal communication vehicles to ensure all corporate information posted is audited and updated in a timely manner
  • Develop workflow and guidelines for all internal company communications
  • Re-brand all digital communications including company vision board
  • Research, identify and implement the most appropriate mix of traditional and social media, video and new applications to effectively inform and deliver strong company branding among the employee base and in the company’s recruiting efforts
  • Assist Sr. Organizational Development Director in developing and executing high-quality internal strategic communication plans and programs
  • Draft employee communications related to employee recruitment, training, development, compensation, benefits, onboarding and engagement activities. Propose creative and innovative approaches to communicate with various employee audiences
  • Make recommendations for TriMark Strategic’s external website and social media platforms
  • Develop template for company communication formats (newsletters, emails from senior leadership)
  • Ensure high quality and visually appealing content
  • Make routine edits and proofread content
  • Establish and maintain a highly collaborative working relationship with individuals throughout the organization
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work
  • Fosters a positive work environment with both external and internal customers through demonstration of strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Demonstrated experience with digital media including web and social media
  • Developed branding, marketing and digital media skills
  • Strong follow-through skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Developed PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite 
Education & Experience 
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Enrolled at a college/university in a related field 
  • GPA 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Interest in communications, marketing or related field
