Position: Cash Application Supervisor

The Cash Application Supervisor is responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective cash application system is in place and functioning for the organization. Analytical and leadership skills in a fast-paced will be utilized, collaborative environment by developing, reporting on, and analyzing cash application processes and internal controls.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Supervise team; responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the department; drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure team is adhering to Company cash application policies and procedures
  • Prepare and review status report for management
  • Manage issues escalated by the team
  • Notify management of any recognized potential risks
  • Identify process inefficiencies and help to support the identification of the underlying root causes
  • Support the control and monitoring of the implementation to ensure change is being followed and is operating effectively
  • Execute month-end tasks
  • Efficiently work the discrepant invoice listings from key customers to determine the corrective action needed
  • Supervise special projects related to cash application and ERP implementation
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound, independent judgments within established policies and procedures

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or work equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience in credit, collections, or cash application with supervisory experience preferable but not required
  • Experience in a multi-location environment preferred
  • Proficient computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization, including advanced skills in MS Office Suite, and the ability to quickly learn and utilize company enterprise software
