Position: Project Manager

The Project  Manager position partners closely with internal resources and external clients to ensure the overall success of contracted projects. 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the execution and successful completion of Contract Project installation by reviewing and managing of all components of projects.
  • Ensures clear and accurate communication to external clients and/or resources.   This includes the Account Manager, Engineering department, customer, architects, general contractor and other vendors as necessary.
  • Assembles and maintains all required information for each project such as delivery dates, job site contacts, and required shop drawings.
  • Interviews, bids and selects vendors and subcontractors for each contract project.  Reviews and approves to ensure engineering drawings are accurate and complete.
  • Reviews vendor project drawings to include receiving field dimensions from site as required.
  • Works closely with the Account Manager for final mark ups on projects.
  • Visits job sites as necessary to personally review progress, issues and completion of project.
  • Uses industry knowledge and experience to plan and accomplish end results. Uses business acumen to ensure projects are tied to the company and customer goals.
  • Presents oneself as a positive role model to external contacts and the company. Acts with integrity and promotes ethical conduct with staff and others.
  • Occasionally operates company vehicles to transport items or self to job sites as necessary.
  • Maintains confidentiality of project and customer information.
  • Encourages safe work practices at all times. 
  • Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience within related field required.
  • Must have an excellent knowledge of the industry’s concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Flexibility in work schedule when required.  Travel required on occasion.  
  • Must possess excellent customer service, interpersonal and sales skills including the ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, customers, and vendors. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to read and comprehend charts, drawings, invoices and purchase orders.  Must have solid ability to use math skills to accomplish results. 
  • Proven problem solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment to make decisions within established company policies and industry standards required.
  • Ability and understanding of the use of a personal computer and appropriate software, including but not limited to: AutoQuotes, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team with company leadership, peers and customers.
