Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant supports the Accounting Supervisor and Accounting Director in all aspects of the Finance/Accounting Department. Primary responsibilities include journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger reporting and analysis, financial statements, commissions, credit cards, fixed assets, audit preparation assistance and month / year end close. This accounting staff person is a key support person for the Accounting Supervisor.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Maintain A/R and A/P sub-ledgers
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Analyze financial statement balances, trial balances & subsidiary ledgers.
  • Prepare and book standard monthly accounting entries and metrics.
  • Ad Hoc financial analysis and reporting using Lawson, Excel & Access.
  • Regular interaction with management, auditors, support staff and outside stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Basic accounting principles with demonstrated ability to manage journal entries and month end statements with required analysis and interpretation
  • Solid mathematical skills and ability to reconcile
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Warehouse worker duties include:

  • Reading customer orders from computer printed route sheet to determine warehouse items to be moved, gathered, and/or shipped
  • Filling warehouse stock request items and delivering to shipping or to designated storage or picking areas
  • Move palletized merchandise using manual or electric pallet jacks and lift trucks
  • Loading trucks using fork lift, manual or electric pallet jacks

Director of Purchasing

Responsible for spend categories of over 8,000 skus, 1.5 million sales lines and $150m+ in annual inventory for a multi-channel sales organization, this position works requires in depth analytical and statistic skills and effective leadership, negotiation and collaboration abilities. This position directs all aspects of the Company’s purchasing function. A primary responsibility is optimizing the investment in inventory through effective negotiation and inventory control.   Working with senior sales and financial executives, this is an important leadership role in driving business and maximizing profitability.

 

  • Provide strong leadership and support to purchasing department consisting of purchasing agents and support staff.

  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators. Motivate purchasing department to reach KPI goals, including fill rate and inventory turns.

  • Understand and execute company goals for suppliers in all product categories.

  • Coordinate with United East sales team to optimize stock utilization and demand planning.
  • Execute large customer bids, including product identification, cost analysis and pricing.
  • Analyze and manipulate distribution costing models to achieve maximum sales profitability.

  • Advise purchasing coordinators on set up of new items and suppliers.

  • Communicate supplier programs, deals and special offers to key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with senior management to execute overall company goals.

  • Monitor and determine selection of stock inventory to minimize inventory cost.


Profit Improvement Analyst

The Profit Improvement Analyst will review all current key account sales reporting and movement.  They will use statistical analysis to monitor and manage price lists, key account sales orders and generate tracking and audit reports. The analyst will review current order flow policies and reporting and make recommendations for scheduled reports and corrections
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage reporting relating to customer profitability and margin targets
  • Provide management reports and presentations to illustrate division, segment, customer, category and item profitability
  • Maintain monthly reporting for key accounts.
  • Audit applications and processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze data and audit processes (e.g., dropped orders, sales and pricing errors).

Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator compares job proposal data submitted by Sales Engineers against blueprints/plans to ensure required materials are included and freight & tax calculations are accurate.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Create formal computer-based job proposals based on data provided by Sales Engineers.
  • Source required job materials and obtain written quotes from manufacturers.
  • Data-enter quotes and accurate material descriptions into order entry and ERP system. Add additional details or explanation as necessary.
  • Follow up with architects, sales rep(s) or sales engineers to obtain missing information/clarification through creation of written Requests For Information (RFI) documents.
  • Create purchase orders (PO’s) for required merchandise through system or manual PO form.
  • Identify manufacturers, negotiate pricing, select merchandise and approve purchase(s).
  • Track status of orders, follow-upon factory acknowledgements and ensure delivery deadlines are met.
  • Create written change orders as required.
  • Provide status updates to Sales Engineers and Project Managers through regular written reports.
  • Enter status updates of orders into order entry system and approve “ready to bill” status upon order completion.
  • Negotiate TriMark standard company costs and pricing.
  • Process merchandise returns: coordinate merchandise pick-up and/or shipping methods. Track credit and ensure proper posting to system.

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

  • Prior food service experiences plus.
  • Prior factory-rep or estimating experience a plus.
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Proficiency reading blueprints required. Prior AutoCad experience preferred.
  • Experience with AutoQuotes or similar system(s) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Customer Care Representative

The Customer Care Representative effectively responds to customer and sales representative phone calls and e-mails.  This includes order entry, order status, deliveries, damages and repairs.  Sales consist primarily of restaurant supplies, disposables, and light equipment. Work with customer contacts as an advisor providing product information, availability of merchandise, pricing, delivery status, etc.

  • Resolve trucking/driver issues

Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Working collaboratively with the Distribution Center Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor plans, directs and coordinates the transportation, storage and distribution activities for the employees in the distribution department in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.

Work schedule is Monday-Thursday 3:00 p.m. to finish with a rotating Sunday schedule (10-12 hour shifts)

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring smooth and accurate flow of our distribution and order fulfillment operations ;
  • Controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling results with inventory management system
  • Leading and overseeing the receiving, picking, and shipping activities of 15-20 hourly employees
  • Recruit, hire, orient, train, coach, counsel, appraise and discipline staff as required
  • Perform essential employee training, including forklift and safe operating procedures
  • Enforces all federal, state and local warehousing , material handling and shipping requirements advises management on needed actions
